Please note that this announcement is a follow-up to our earlier notice (No. CC/08/2023) issued on September 26, 2023 regarding recruitment of Engineer Trainees for POWERGRID through GATE 2024. Candidates are advised to read the above notification carefully before applying. Apart from the vacancies in Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), vacancies also exist for the post of Engineer Trainee in various disciplines in Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL), which is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of POWERGRID.

How to Apply :-
- Candidates are required to register online on the POWERGRID website https://www.powergrid.in/ from 12th June 2024 onwards with details of their GATE 2024 Registration Number and other required information.
- The online application will close on 04th July 2024.
- The GATE Registration Number as it appears on the GATE 2024 Admit Card must be carefully entered in the online application form. Please note that once your application is submitted, no request regarding change of GATE Registration Number or name or any other details will be accepted. Enter your name and other details exactly as it appears on your GATE Admit Card.
- Fill in other details in the application very carefully. Please be careful while filling in the Email/Alternate Email fields as all important communications will be through email only.
- On completion, the candidate should submit the online application by clicking on the submit button at the end of the page.
- If the candidate is not exempted from payment of application fee (only SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted), he/she has to log in to the candidate login section and then deposit the non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- through online mode.
- The application process will be considered complete only on depositing the application fee.
- Incomplete applications/draft applications/without application fee (if applicable) will be rejected.
Important Instructions :-
- Candidates must submit their latest colour passport size photograph (.jpg file size should not exceed 50 kb), scanned copy of signature (jpg file size should not exceed 30 kb), DOB Certificate/ Caste Certificate/ Disability Certificate/ Discharge Certificate/ Age Relaxation cum Residence Certificate and Qualification Last Passed Certificate (Candidates appearing in final year must submit mark sheet of previous semester/ year).
- Candidates must declare their name and date of birth correctly as mentioned in their Birth Certificate or Matriculation Certificate. Candidates must declare their category correctly and must be in a position to produce the original certificates when asked by POWERGRID.
- Candidates must enter the qualification details correctly including the date of obtaining the qualification mentioned in their certificates.
- Candidate must take a printout of the complete application and keep it safely with them for future reference.
- If a candidate is called for GD and Interview, his/her identity will be verified from the GATE 2024 Admit Card and original GATE 2024 Score Card. Therefore, candidates are requested to keep their GATE 2024 Admit Card and Score Card handy.
- Candidates must bring a valid photo ID card for the interview. Photocopy of the original identity document will not be acceptable. If the original and valid photo ID card is not produced along with GATE 2024 Admit Card and Score Card, candidates will not be allowed to appear for Group Discussion and Interview.
- Application once submitted can be edited/updated till the last date of submission of online application.
- It is mandatory that the candidates read the full text of the advertisement and agree to all the terms and conditions given while applying for the post.
